How Stretch Film can Save your Furniture

Moving is both exciting, stressful, and sometimes worrisome, especially when you’re trying to move furniture and the like. This can get expensive especially when you get it damaged during this process. One way to keep this from being damaged, is to use stretch film, or stretch wrap, in order to wrap this.

This is elastic, flexible, and plastic, and it can be wrapped around all items in order to keep wetness, dirt, and even oil off of this. It also prevents snags and scratches too. Unlike tape as well, this wrap won’t leave a residue either, as it does stick directly to itself. Some also can be shrunken together with some heat to craft a tighter hold as well for you to use.

Using when Moving

This is good for protecting everything from a couch to a rug, and even to artwork and bureaus, and it’s very easy for a person to use. In fact, it’s encouraged by many to use to help with this.

To begin, you want to clean your furniture thoroughly. Then, you want to take the chair legs, other drawers, and different detachable aspects. Wrap these in a separate manner. For anything made from either leather or wood, you want to put furniture padding on this surface before you wrap it. this offers some “breathing room” to prevent the condensation from creating underneath the stretch wrapping. This also prevents the materials from being damaged.

You want to wrap this around drawers and the bureau in order to secure all of these during the process. You also want to wrap these drawers and clothing or other items together with this too. This can as well save a lot of time with unpacking and packing these items as well.

There are a lot of stretch wrapping sizes. So by using the biggest roll, you’ll be able to wrap some big furniture. All you’ve got to do is hold this, walk it around, let this unwrap, and continue on. Sometimes, you’ll have corners that are damaged, or they are damaged when you move them. Cover all of these up with foam or some cardboard, and then add more wrapping in order to protect all of these.

There are so many great ways for you to use stretch wrapping, and it can help as well with wrapping other items that are large, fragile, and just otherwise aren’t really useful.

You can use this for electronic cords as well. they tend to get frayed and tangled together. But, through the wrapping of this, you can keep them nice and neat without any problems, and also help with holding all of these together.

When you store anything fragile such as artwork or anything that is breakable, you can add some foam and paper around this, wrap the stretch foam on there, and then place all of this in storage. That way, in the event that they do get hit, they won’t break in most cases.

This can also be good for grouping boxes together, keeping everything tightly secured so that you can move things out of there faster.

In general, stretch wrapping is great for moving from place to place. However, it also works as well for organization, as it keeps everything nice and neat. Regardless, stretch film, keeping this on hand, and properly maintained will protect everything from damage. That way, you can use this to protect all of the items, making this better for you, and in turn, helping you with improving your own space too, and improving the way you organize your belongings as well.
