The Top Custom Box Trends

Choosing customized boxes are important for a lot of people, and there are certain trends that should be looked into for box packaging.

Here, we’ll give you some trends to work with.

Eco Friendly

This is the most emergent of these trends. This is because businesses are becoming more aware of the increasing demands for eco-friendly forms of packaging.

With a large awareness of the issues that happen on an ecological level along with a growing worry for the environment, and a larger drive towards sustainability, consumers are becoming more aware of the materials that are used.   You also want to make sure that you choose products with the right materials too.

Even the fashion industry is also working to prioritize those different biodegradable and sustainable types of materials, and they are looking down on the nonbiodegradable options for this as well.

One popular one is recycled cardboard, or cardboard that’s made from sources that are sustainable.

But environmental issues don't get solved by just choosing one product over another, it’s being mindful of the way it’s coming from, and you have to look at other factors too.

Personalization

These days, you want to make personalized boxes a unique touch for your customers.

This is good for those customers that are creating a more tailored, unique experience. It also is good for offering some customized messages, design, and even their names added to the boxes.

Some businesses have started to create memorable, unboxing experiences for customers to really take advantage of.

Even a package which may not seem personal at first can be done better with the unique connections that are there. adding doodles and fonts are good too, along with sketches and scribbles.

Some have even created puzzles, hidden compartments, and even AR, forms of interactive packaging that people can enjoy with their smartphones, and it creates a unique buzz.

Eye Catching Designs

Eye-catching graphics, colors, even shapes is becoming the newest , hottest trend on boxes.

Some surveys have shown that over 70% of customers will get a product that’s based on the packaging there. with a lot of products vying for the attention of customers, this is becoming even more important. You need to stand out from the others in the crowd. Using bold, vibrant colors, along with graphics that captivate, allow one to grab the attention of your customers, and convey that brand identity which you want to have.

Part of it is psychology, so don’t be afraid to look at it from that standpoint, because colors play such a focal part on imaginations, and emotions, and it evokes memories, feelings, and can also impact one’s wallets too.

Minimalism

Finally, you want to make sure that you’re going minimal.

Even though we want designs that are eye-catching, it doesn’t mean that the designs are bland and boring. But they are also not super colorful.

Sometimes, going simple with more muted colors and organic packaging is also popular. Less can be more, as minimalism in the packaging world is a bolder statement.

It demonstrates the level of confidence one might have with the product, and also the things inside. it builds anticipation, along with excitement that the vibrant, busy designs distract a person from.

Utilizing muted colors, simpler shapes, and organic types of packaging offers a quality and thoughtfulness, which makes unboxing truly memorable.

Minimalistic is also far more sustainable, which requires far less ink too, so not only does it reduce waste, but it also looks better in the eyes of the customer, to foster that deeper connection they wish to have. n

How Stretch Film can Save your Furniture

Moving is both exciting, stressful, and sometimes worrisome, especially when you’re trying to move furniture and the like. This can get expensive especially when you get it damaged during this process. One way to keep this from being damaged, is to use stretch film, or stretch wrap, in order to wrap this.

This is elastic, flexible, and plastic, and it can be wrapped around all items in order to keep wetness, dirt, and even oil off of this. It also prevents snags and scratches too. Unlike tape as well, this wrap won’t leave a residue either, as it does stick directly to itself. Some also can be shrunken together with some heat to craft a tighter hold as well for you to use.

Using when Moving

This is good for protecting everything from a couch to a rug, and even to artwork and bureaus, and it’s very easy for a person to use. In fact, it’s encouraged by many to use to help with this.

To begin, you want to clean your furniture thoroughly. Then, you want to take the chair legs, other drawers, and different detachable aspects. Wrap these in a separate manner. For anything made from either leather or wood, you want to put furniture padding on this surface before you wrap it. this offers some “breathing room” to prevent the condensation from creating underneath the stretch wrapping. This also prevents the materials from being damaged.

You want to wrap this around drawers and the bureau in order to secure all of these during the process. You also want to wrap these drawers and clothing or other items together with this too. This can as well save a lot of time with unpacking and packing these items as well.

There are a lot of stretch wrapping sizes. So by using the biggest roll, you’ll be able to wrap some big furniture. All you’ve got to do is hold this, walk it around, let this unwrap, and continue on. Sometimes, you’ll have corners that are damaged, or they are damaged when you move them. Cover all of these up with foam or some cardboard, and then add more wrapping in order to protect all of these.

There are so many great ways for you to use stretch wrapping, and it can help as well with wrapping other items that are large, fragile, and just otherwise aren’t really useful.

You can use this for electronic cords as well. they tend to get frayed and tangled together. But, through the wrapping of this, you can keep them nice and neat without any problems, and also help with holding all of these together.

When you store anything fragile such as artwork or anything that is breakable, you can add some foam and paper around this, wrap the stretch foam on there, and then place all of this in storage. That way, in the event that they do get hit, they won’t break in most cases.

This can also be good for grouping boxes together, keeping everything tightly secured so that you can move things out of there faster.

In general, stretch wrapping is great for moving from place to place. However, it also works as well for organization, as it keeps everything nice and neat. Regardless, stretch film, keeping this on hand, and properly maintained will protect everything from damage. That way, you can use this to protect all of the items, making this better for you, and in turn, helping you with improving your own space too, and improving the way you organize your belongings as well.

The History of Bubble Wrap

You’ve probably used bubble wrap or have engaged with this type of packaging before.  It’s more than just a sheet that has little capsules of air that’s trapped.

We use bubble wrap for a lot of different reasons. They include protecting the items when shipping out stuff, and also for therapeutic activities. There are a lot of great uses for this, but let’s look at the history of such.

The Beginning

The first bubble wrap was seen in 1957, which is a time when black and white TV was a thing, and a quarter was what a gallon of gas cost.  There were two men that decided to create this textured wallpaper.

In order to create this, they pressed two different shower curtains together, trapping these air pockets. They even created machines to create plastic wallpaper but with a backing made of paper.

Then, they started to realize that these sheets were only made of plastic and were similar to the bubble wrap seen today.

While the texture paper fad was never a thing for walls, there were other people that were curious about this.  They also tried to use this material in greenhouse insulation, but that didn’t work.

The niche, however, was found in packaging. Specifically, with IBM, where they introduced that 1401 unit. However, they didn’t know how to ship this computer safely.  The two men tried bubble wrap, and this became the obvious solution. Now, they sell this everywhere as there is packaging material that we can use, and also that we do love today.

Today’s Bubble Wrap

It’s hard for one to imagine what life without bubble wrap would even be like. There was a time that it wasn’t possible. These days, you can usually get products that are wrapped in swaths of bubble wrap. It’s a great feature for products that businesses ship out.

These days, we remember the fond therapeutic things we did as kids involving bubble wrap, such as popping the bubbles. There was a study that shows that there is a way for popping bubbles in order to relieve stress, including reducing the muscle tension within the body. This is similar to tapping fingers or even moving your foot.

Both businesses big and small across the country use this in order to make sure packages arrive safely. There are so many uses for it, and it can be the solution one might need for their packaging.

Businesses and Bubble Wrapping

You may wonder if there are different bubble wrap options for businesses.  Whether you’re a B2B or a B2C, there are different ways to recommend packaging supplies.

There is anti-static bubble wrap, which will dissipate the discharge from electronics when they are shipped.

There is also smaller bubble wrap, which is good for scrapes and scratches. There is also the larger bubble wrap used specifically to protect items during the shipping process from damage.

You should use bubble wrap that fits the business and packaging needs. They can protect the scratches and the damage if you know what you’re doing with this, which is pretty neat.

There are usually different sizes that work, and you want to make sure that you get the right one, so that they don’t open this up and then have a damaged product. Bubble wrap is safe for protecting products, and it has been for well over five decades. If the items are damaged, and customers don’t blame bubble wrap, they’re going to blame you. Keep that in mind, especially when choosing the ideal products for you to ship for your items.
